ITINERARY
AM8.00: Driver and local guide will pick you up from hotel to start Hanoi Craft villages tour. The car trip will take you along the Red river bank to visit Bat Trang ceramic village, which is located about 18km from Hanoi. We have chance to see the ceramic worker creating ceramic products with full process or shopping for some wonderfull souvernir in the ceramic market.
Keep going to Dong Ho Painting village, an ancient village making folk painting, where the local artists make reflect their wishes for lucks and their perception of everyday life in the village on paper. The Dong Ho paintings are used for Tet Holiday’s decoration with lucky meaning. We also visit But Thap pagoda, the crad of Vietnam Buddhism and enjoy the peace of temple’s atmotphere with special and unique things: Bao Nghiem Tower where placed a relic (xa li) of the first ancestor – the monk Chuyet Chuyet or Buddha statue “Thien Thu Thien – Thousand eyes and hands” made in 1656 with 3.7m high, 2.1m wide.
Rerurn to Hanoi downtown for lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon, we going to visit Van Phuc silk village, the most ancient of Hanoi Craft villages with more than 1200 year olds. Van Phuc is proud to be the most ancient silk village which provides the best silk in Vietnam.
Visitors to Van Phuc village will be impressed by typical manner of an ancient village in the north of Vietnam with banyan tree, well, communal house, and the sound of power-looms everywhere. Walking on the main road in Van Phuc, tourists will be lost in the world of silk with various products like shirts, ties, crafts, dresses… made of silk available in the village. Free shopping in silk market or local workshops.
