The complex’s centre is right inside Huong Tich Cavern (as known as Inside Pagoda). As we arrival at the Perfume Pagoda, begin the day trip with one hour on a sampan rowed by local people traveling along Yen river with impressive beauty of two sides… Then continue hiking up the moutain for Huong Son Grotto, literally meaning “Traces of Fragrance”. You have 2 option by 1 hour hiking up the mountain or take 10 minutes cable car to get there. The huge entrance of the grotto as well as the pagoda astonishes tourists because it looks like an open mouth of dragon. Being carved to the wall at the grotto’s mouth are ancient Vietnamese letters: “Nam Thiên Đệ Nhất Động”, which dated back to 1770.
Going back to have lunch at local restaurant with dilicous local dishes.
Afternoon, we will visit Thien Tru pagoda – the last highlight for Perfume pagoda day tour. “Thien Tru” means a heaven kitchen, derived from the imagination of the locals in this region, of which the rock formations in this area look like chefs busily working in the kitchen. Thien Tru Pagoda is famous for Thuy Tien tower, a granite monolith. On the right is Tien Son grotto, popular for five granite statues and various formations on the walls of the cave.
Come back Duc pier and take sampan returning to the car park. Drive back to Hanoi and finish the day trip at about PM 6.00
